Services

Services

Description of the services: 1. Socio-labour insertion: Employment programmes, entrepreneurship and inclusive workshops. Although the Madre Coraje Foundation does not have as its main objective the direct promotion of employment, our activities act as a complementary tool to promote the employability and social integration of people with disabilities. In Jerez, Seville and Granada, we develop inclusive volunteer workshops in collaboration with social entities that work with this group. These workshops provide a real work environment in which participants can improve their social skills, work routines and sense of belonging, fundamental elements for their personal development and, in many cases, for their future incorporation into the labour market. 2. Training and Volunteering School We have a Volunteering School, an initiative that aims to train, accompany and strengthen the people who join our cause as volunteers. We offer initial training that facilitates the integration of new volunteers in our activities and continuous training that promotes personal growth, commitment and the development of transversal competencies. 3. Solidarity gardens and food distribution In Jerez, we develop an action that combines sustainability, inclusion and solidarity: our solidarity gardens. These gardens are managed by volunteers who grow fresh, seasonal produce. The harvest is donated to soup kitchens and other social organisations in the province of Cadiz, strengthening community support networks and contributing to the food security of people in vulnerable situations. 4. Solidarity collection campaigns: Donations with social value The collection of materials is one of our most well-known and sustainable actions. Through our collection points, citizens can donate: * Clothes and shoes * Books * Used edible oil * School material or toys These resources are sorted and channelled for charitable, educational or environmental purposes: some are reused or recycled, others are transformed (such as oil, which is turned into handmade soap) and others generate income that supports our projects in Spain, Peru and Mozambique. 5. Production and dissemination of educational resources: research, guides and exhibitions. From our Global Citizenship Education Area we produce and share a wide repository of educational resources aimed at teachers, schools, social educators and citizens in general. These materials address key issues such as: * Gender equality * Environment and sustainability * Interculturality and global citizenship * Human rights and social justice Available free of charge and openly on our website: http://epdenelaula.madrecoraje.org/materiales We also offer thematic exhibitions on loan to organisations, educational centres and associations, which are ideal for promoting awareness-raising activities in different educational and social contexts. 6. Solidarity Shops For those who love to reuse, and/or for groups with more limited incomes, we make articles and garments with a second life available to the public in our Solidarity Shops. People with limited resources can acquire them for symbolic prices in a dignified and non-charitable way.
